Our Story
The Graduate & Students Section (G&S) or currently known as the Young Engineers Section (YES) of IEM Miri branch is a subcommittee of IEM Miri branch. YES expose young engineers to the professional engineering world as well as enhance the bond among fellow engineers. YES help them go onboard on an engineering career, besides also supporting the Executive Committee of IEM Miri by organizing activities for the public as a link between the community with the established professional engineers in Miri.

Vision
IEM-YES Miri aims to be the premier professional organization for Graduate and Student engineers in Malaysia.

Mission
IEM-YES Miri shall
1. promote sound professional engineering practice amongst the Graduate Engineers in support of the socio-economic development objectives of the nation.
2. service the needs and interests of our IEM Graduate and Student Members in Miri as well as the public and uphold the social standing image of the engineering profession.
3. contribute towards nation-building and shall strive to enhance society’s consciousness of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

Goals for 2021
1. To organize virtual events which are orientated on young engineers of Miri.
