SYNOPSIS
Introduction to TM Centralised Organisation Project Management team and the evolution from 2009 – Present
Centralised Organisation Project Management team was established for delivering the High Speed Broadband (HSBB) project in 2008
COPM is the division responsible for setting the end-to-end program and project governance across TM Group.
For the standardization of project management in TM, COPM developed TM Project Management Frame work and approved in 2018 for execution.
The TM Project Management Framework was established by COPM with the following objectives:
- To align the project executions with the overall company's strategic direction;
- To ensure all projects' deliveries are according to the scope, expected quality and within the
approved cost and timeline.
- To establish clear roles and responsibilities in the project management;
- To ensure project visibility, timely project reporting and escalation to TM Management.
It consists of the guideline and standard of project management practice for TM which is based on PMI project Management guideline. (the detail of the frame work will be shared)
With the guideline from the TM Project Management Framework and constant project management practise awareness, the success of the project and the realization of project benefit can be achieved.
The TM Project Management Framework covers the scope from Project Business Phase (promising the benefit) up to Project Benefit Phase (Delivering the promise). The detail of the project management framework and the processes involved will be deliberated with some samples of telecommunication projects.
