SOP Refinery and Kernel Crushing Plant Site Visit with 4 CPD Hrs

SOP Refinery and Kernel Crushing Plant Bintulu, commissioned in 2012, is the first palm oil refinery and kernel crushing plant owned by Sarawak Oil Palms Bhd (SOP) in their venture to downstream palm oil processing. The site visit aims to provide exposure about palm oil industries to our members, who are from various engineering disciplines. Through the visit, the members could gain more knowledge about the operation and maintenance aspects of a palm oil refinery and kernel crushing plant.

Fees      :   RM 60 (for members only, transportation included), RM 30 (for members who wish to travel to the SOP plant with their own transport)

Programme

7.00 am - Participant registration at IEM Miri Branch Office.

7.15 am - Travel to Bintulu by bus.

10.00 am - Arrive at the SOP Refinery and Kernel Crushing Plant, Bintulu for site visit.

2.00 pm - Lunch.

3.00 - 6.00 pm - Travel back to Miri.

 

Fees and Registration

The visit is strictly limited to only 40 participants registered on a first come, first served basis. Interested members can register themselves online at the link below. When all seats have been filled, the registration will be closed.

Payment can be made in the form of cash or in the form of cheque made payable to “The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia Miri Branch”. Please pay to the Institution of Engineers Malaysia Miri Branch office by 6 May 2013 (Monday).
