Adopting Eurocodes EC0, EC1 and EC2 in Malaysia

The Department of Standards Malaysia, SIRIM Berhad and the Civil & Structural Engineering Technical Division of IEM are jointly organizing a one-day seminar on “Adopting Eurocodes Eurocodes EC0 (Basic of structural design), EC1 (Actions on structures) and EC2 (Design of concrete structures) in Malaysia”.
The one-day seminar aims in providing participants with an overall view on Eurocodes EC0, EC1 and EC2 which are the design standards of the concrete building structures. Topics of the fundamental concrete structure behaviour of flexure, shear and compression will be presented in detail. In addition, the Code requirement of concrete durability as well as the Malaysian treatment of Eurocodes will be highlighted.
Engineers, consultants, contractors, manufactures, researchers, lecturers, project managers, students, entrepreneurs members of professional associations and interested parties from public and private sectors are all encouraged to attend the seminar.
